7.  A great way to give – eBAY nonprofit !

BDP is now a registered nonprofit on eBay, listed as Bayshore Discovery Project. What this means is that anyone selling on eBay can donate part or all of the proceeds to BDP and eBay will reduce the insertion and selling fees (not the enhancement fees) by the same percentage as the donation.  The listing will also have ribbon next to it to indicate that it is a charity listing.

More information is available at: http://pages.eBay.com/givingworks/index.html

We will also be listing items that have been donated, but you can help even more if you list and sell the item(s) yourself. And remember that you do not have to donate all of the proceeds when you sell it yourself.

For more information please call 856-785-2060 x102 or

Email: mbrodkin@bayshorediscovery.org

8.  ONE BOAT LEFT and a YAHAMA OUTBOARD MOTOR for sale!!!

9.  Wish List

First and foremost, we want to thank those volunteers who have so generously donated things for the ship and our programs...lots and lots of food - both prepared and fresh produce from gardens, culinary skills, galley items, photos of the crew sailing, newspaper articles about the ship in various ports, American flags, landscaping and grass-cutting, plants for the BDP garden and so much more!  We continue to be overwhelmed by so much generosity!!

Naturally, we continue to have needs….

These items would greatly contribute to our education programs and sailing season. So, when cleaning out your closets, attic, basement or garage, please keep this list in mind. Or if you would like to purchase or provide the funding for any of the items below, please give a call to the appropriate contact person listed below.

Office

WE NEED A RE-ROOF over the kitchen—it leaks when there is a heavy rain.  Material, labor or cash are equally welcome.

Computers

We can use P4, 1GHZ, or better computers; PS2 Keyboards (these are the ones with the small round plug) or USB keyboards, 3 button mice, Network switch(s) – 1 48 – or two 24’s – or 3 twelve position 10/100 ethernet switches

Please call if you have any equipment (or your company is getting rid of equipment). Sometimes we can make use of equipment that others consider obsolete.

Volunteers who can set up and/or troubleshoot Server 2003, computers, and software. Also if you can teach any programs we would love to have trainings for staff.

I am still hoping to set up a Technology Advisory Committee, which I expect will meet 4 – 6 times per year. The purpose of the committee is to plan the direction we will take with Technology implementation, the Web Site, Hardware, Software, and the Network System. If you are interested and think that you might have something to offer in the way of expertise, Please contact me.
