Welcome to the Volunteer Information Line

Starting in March, BDP will offer four fun-filled, enriching Saturdays of volunteer shipboard training during which volunteers will learn the skills needed to become educator/deckhands. The training will take place in the Bivalve Shipping Sheds on March 7, 14, 28 and April 4. We have a very busy schedule ahead of us in order to have the boat ready for her 2009 sailing season. There are electrical projects, blocks to be overhauled, & numerous painting projects. There is painting, scraping, sanding, and caulking. There will be a short nautical skills class at the end of the Saturday work parties. We hope to see you Saturday or any day (except Sunday for now).


There are many volunteer opportunites this year before and during Delaware Bay Days. Volunteer hours during the event are:

Saturday, June 13

1st Shift: 10 a.m. to 2:15 p.m.

2nd Shift: 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Sunday, June 14
