In 1998, the Schooner A.J. Meerwald was officially named New Jersey's Tall Ship,
for providing local and regional education programs to more than 50,000 people
each year. However, BDP
does not receive annual state funding for its programs or the Meerwald's operation
and maintenance. BDP
is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that conducts ongoing fundraising efforts
to raise the money it needs to operate. The following items are currently needed,
and they may be available through donation by a company or individual. All donations
receive written acknowledgment from the BDP
office and may be tax-deductible. If you are able to donate any of these items,
or if you have personal or business contacts that might lead to their donation,
please let us know! Please contact the BDP
office for further information. Thank you
