Delaware 'Bay Days' is the largest FREE festival in the tri-state region. It will be held along the 'wild and scenic' Maurice River in the historic New Jersey fishing villages of Bivalve, Port Norris and Shellpile. East Point Lighthouse, located in Heislerville, will also be a satellite site for this event.

Delaware Bay Days is hosted by the Bayshore Discovery Project . It is a fun-filled family day celebrating the rich maritime history, vibrant culture and phenomenal natural resources of the Delaware Bay.  

The day begins with a street parade through the historic oyster town of Port Norris.This celebration has activities for children which includes miniature golf with a maritime theme, face painting, Paint a landscape with Citizens United, a moon bounce, horseshoe crab mask making, clamshell crabs and much more! Games, crafts, puppet shows, a storytelling tent and Bivalve Bluecrab Races are also available. Numerous contests for children and adults are being held during the day and in advance of the event - a poetry contest, photo contest, poster contest, t-shirt design contest and an oyster shucking contest.

Throughout the day you can satisfy your hunger at any of our food courts, where fresh seafood, soul food and homemade fare is available. Entertainment for all including multi-cultural music and Living History presenters are available throughout the day. There are artisans and crafters displaying their works, so you and your family can take your time browsing and just enjoy the beauty of items made by their skillful hands.

Also available for the family are river tours, guided wetland walks and tours on NJ's Official Tall Ship the historic schooner A.J. Meerwald. To end the day, there is an evening concert, bring a lawnchair and a blanket and relax under the evening sky while watching a lighted boat parade and spectacular fireworks!
